I had purchased a Holmes Blizzard fan (not from amazon.com), and like many noted in their reviews, I was not pleased with the noise the fan generated. Even at the lowest setting, it was difficult to hear the TV, and running the fan was out of the question when listening to music. I figured a larger fan would be quieter, so I looked around and found the Windchaser fan here. Suffice it to say I'm very pleased with the purchase. At its' lowest setting, which is good for most purposes, it is whisper-quiet as advertised. Even at the medium setting, the sound is inobtrusive while moving a lot of air. You'll get a fair amount of noise at the highest speed, but the only way you'll need that setting is if you're trying to clear out a house full of smoke. My only complaints are about the relatively short (~5 ft) cord and the slight difficulty in assembling the fan cage; it snaps together, and it's a pretty tight fit.Even at the $24.99 list, this fan would be a bargain. At $12.99, it's simply unbeatable.

This is a really well-made and nice looking product for under $15. It's a fairly lage fan with a lot of power -- I find the lowest setting to be enough for me, most of the time. It's not overly noisy (though it is a fan, so you will get some noise) and it's well-constructed.My only beef is that the power cord is a little too short (maybe 3 1/2 feet?). I had to use an extension cord, but that's not really a big deal.
