  • Windchaser Ionic Air Purifier with Night Light IF1 Plug-n-Fresh is an ideal air cleaner for Bathrooms, Kitchens, Hallways, Pet Areas, Travel, RV's and Boats. This night light air freshener purifies the air and removes odors naturally without cover-up scents. Removes Small Airborne Particles. No Filters to Replace. Easy to Clean Static Charged. Metal Collector Plate. Convenient Built-In Cordless Plug. Ideal for Home or Office Use.Designed to purify air continually while casting a gentle light, the Windchaser Plug-N-Fresh ionic air purifier starts working as soon as it’s plugged into the wall. Powered up, the unit circulates ozone-rich air to kill off bacteria and help neutralize odors. Meanwhile, a statically charged metal plate inside the purifier collects microscopic contaminants like dust and pollen. The purifier is very quiet while working and uses only three watts of power. Its LED bulb is gentle and long-lasting--both helpful features because switching it off is not an option. Attractively low-maintenance, the purifier does not require replacement filters. Simply remove the charged metal plate occasionally, clean it off, and reuse it. A good size for bathrooms, pet areas, and pantries, the Plug-N-Fresh measures 2-1/2 by 3 by 8-1/2 inches, plug not included. It covers up to 161 square feet and carries a 90-day warranty. --Emily Bedard

I bought four of these ionic air purifiers due to the above average reviews of them. So far I cannot really tell how well they are working. In the first month, they generates some really funny smell (like old burning oil) probably due to the ozone it emitted. Had to unplug some of them due to strong smell. They seem to work better after a while, especially in small bathrooms and in the kitchen. Better not to put them close to where people often stay (like living room). Do not believe the ozone is good for you. Keep cleaning the metal strips, they are not real dirty but seem to work better if you clean them often. Like the fact that an extra strip comes with each air ionizer. Do believe if you want to clean up a large area, you may be better off to get an Oreck air cleaner or a Honeywell hepa air cleaner. Sears has a plasma air cleaner (with both ion and cation) that seems to smell much better but is very expensive.

We've owned two of these for about a year, and they both work perfectly. One is in a small utility room and contends with the cat's litter box. The room is definitely much fresher using this unit. We keep the other in the living room and don't notice much difference one way or the other. These are low-capacity units, not meant for large rooms. They cover both outlets of a two-outlet plug, so beware of this. And, as others have noted, the nightlight can't be turned off separately. This doesn't bother us since we put the units where we had nighlights previously. Overall, great value for the money.

This item is great for removing kitchen odors. It doesn't matter what I cook or fry this takes out all of the cooking odors and leaves my kitchen smelling fresh. I was so pleased with the results that I bought two more for both of my bathrooms. These are only for small areas such as a kitchen, bathroom or motorhome. I wish I could put one in my walk-in closet, but it doesn't have an electrical outlet.

It really leaves a room fresh and clean smelling. I highly recommend.

This is a small unit that works in smaller spaces. I have found that large ionic purifiers tend to make the house smell like a swimming pool. This one puts out the clean smell, but it is not overpowering. The unit plugs into the wall (which covers up both outlets), and has a night light that stays on. I like the night light, and it doesn't bug me that it covers up both outlets - it's not hard to unplug. It's hard to say yet how well it removes particles from the air, but from the amount of dust I found on my coffee table today, I'd say it's working. I really like them. I have two and probably will purchase a couple more.

Contrary to what others have said about this product, it does work. I had it in my bathroom for a week and took the metal strips out and they were covered in a black gook. These work just like the Ionic Breeze purifiers and they even smell the same (like static electricity). It will not purify a very big space, so if you are hoping to use it in a real room, don't bother. But, considering the Ionic Breeze sells for 100's of dollars and this was free with the purchase of a dehumidifier, I'm happy with it.

On the down side, the light is kind of annoying... you can't turn it off. I'm also not a big fan of static electricity smell, but if you like ionic purifiers, then that probably doesn't bother you (if you don't know what I am talking about, smell you TV screen while it is on - that is what it smells like only a lot stronger).

This small air cleaner does not use filters. It has a metal strip inside, that you are suppose to take out and wipe off.
After plugging the unit into the wall and running it constantly for 1 month in a small room, I feel no change in the air. I even took out the metal strip after a month and there was nothing on it. The attached night light stays on if you want it on or not, so if you want to
run the so-called air cleaner you must deal with the night light being on. Also when you plug the unit into the wall you cannot plug anything eles into that socket, it's the way it's made it
covers both sockets. If you need that socket say to vacuum then you have to pull the air cleaner out. The only reason I gave this a try is because I wanted a small air cleaner and I was 15.00 away from the 25.00 off 125.00 special Amazon had going at that time. But don't you waste your money.
