This is the quietest fan I have ever owned. We use this in a smaal office to get the air moving. We have had other fans, but they were so loud they were being heard on our headset mics. With this fan going on high for 10-12 hours a day, we barely notice it at all.

This fan is anything but "whisper quiet." In fact, when this fan is on the low setting, it is louder than my air conditioner on high. I don't mind noise and I can sleep through just about anything, but I couldn't sleep with this fan, even on low. Nevertheless, it does generate a very good amount of air, and if noise is not a primary concern, it might be the perfect fan for you. It is made in the USA and seems to be of "average" quality and construction (which isn't saying much, considering the quality of most fans these days). It comes with a remote control and has a built-in timer; both are very useful features.

Ahh the fan. Since the days of Ancient Assyria it has been the constant companion of every civilization of mankind. We have relied on it to create food, generate power, and most importantly to keep us cool.

Lesko's Wind Tunnel Remote system does this job in spades. I have quite a bit of computers and related electronic equipment and rely on this device to keep my study cool and breezy despite the stifling amount of ambient heat generated by the aforementioned devices. The fan is left on nearly all of the time, sometimes for a month straight and still continues to generate the perfect breeze with little or no sound accompaniment (on low). While the claim of "whisper quiet" is true on the low setting this claim is quickly dispelled on the higher ones. However Low will provide all of the wind generation you need.

After a year of use Lesko's device and accompanying remote have served me and my computers well.
